With Penola winning South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year 2024, servicing the community is an exciting time for the Studio, as we open doors to our communities and share in holistic benefits with creativity.
Charley's Cottage
With Charley's Cottage as the current Home of Australian Art Creativity Studio, the holistic experience all begins at the front gate with a stroll along Charley's Drive to the cottage front door.
A place of generational character and charm, edible gardens, diverse native wildlife and picturesque farmland views, Charley's Cottage is steeped in a rich tapestry of history and community spirit, and accommodated with enviable abundant natural bio-diversity.
Named by us, after the beautiful woman who has entrusted us with this, her special heart and soul place, it is an honour for the studio to be given the opportunity to be the next in a line of community caretakers of the cottage. The cottage has seen a lot of different worlds enter its walls since the 1950s.
Because Australian Art Creativity Studio is all about holistic approaches to creativity, Charley's Cottage comes alive with fusions of art therapy workshops and creative service themes, including access to natural based produce and product resourcing that embraces all of our creative sensory and bio-diversity values.
