Concept
There is beauty and magic in the air when country twilight transitions the day into night.
Penola is an inspirational place of environmental and country lifestyle that is natural by day and enigmatic by night. A place where the nocturnal wildlife are not afraid to emerge, where dense fog hazes backdrops of forestry and bushland, and where walking the town streets in the evening are curiously inviting.
A place steeped in history and culture, of living heritage and demographic, it is only natural for the first Thematic Collection theme of the studio to be celebrating the soulful mystique of Penola and The Coonawarra district.
Components
The collection will have sectional compositions on display.
Art Therapy Works.
Showcasing what is possible during creative explorations into autonomous mental health self-care management. Pieces that include mindful-based Diamond Art, Colourings, Textiles.
Conscious Creativity Works.
Showcasing the beneficial successes of the studio's Fellowship Guild Program with a volunteer sharing their lived experience and creative work that evolved as a result of successful personalised creative mentorship within the studio.
Collaborative Works.
Showcasing hand-selected freestyle project work outcomes of creative exuberance. Interpretive variety of diverse media pieces from the inspirational environs of Penola and The Coonawarra.
Feature Artist Work.
Showcasing the thematic collection primary artwork piece. The media-iconic work used to market the collection and its exhibition.
Exhibition
The exhibition is planned to be publicly accessible during the 2026 Penola Coonawarra Festival.
Venue for the exhibition is still to be advised, but will be updated here as arrangements solidify closer to time.
Certain pieces from the exhibition will be available for sale during the festival and released to buyers at the completion of the exhibition; tying in with the end of the festival itself.
