Now there is a little magical anecdote with this layering today. I will let you decide what you think may of happened, but for me, its going into one of those 'X-files' kind of situations.

While the layers are being built up upon each other, it takes a while, because although the drying time of the acrylic really isnt that long in the scheme of things, it does mean bursts of waiting in between. (Perfect for the neurodivergent work tasking management needed for maintaining natural regulation!)

Sometimes things get a little spicy. Sometimes the unicorn comes out and likes to throw some bling in our faces to test our willpower and dedication. Which is quite funny, because I am too old to have a visit from Father Christmas, but never too old for a visit from a unicorn.

My impulsive nature wanted me to leap straight in to the finer detail embellishments but I am glad I did muse on this break overnight because I can see that today is about more tint layering and backdrop blocking in still... just have to be more patient and listen to the intuition.!

For a reintroduction into canvas projects after being centred on paper, digital and small scale canvas board, the canvas of this size has been daunting, and probably why it was sitting in the back of the studio cottage store room for the past year.

Because the autistic ADHD side of me could not relax without that cobalt blue being removed so that balance can be brought back to the eye, in went the layer of forest green.

It also doesn't help that my auADHD brain registers this as an already completed project in visualisation, and so this is very bold and jarring to that already formulated image stored in my head.

At the studio, the reuse and repurpose ethic is a strong value for resources.
